From pop to jazz to hip hop, there's a variety of vinyls and CDs for you to choose from, and is also home also a very good sale section at the front of the shop in which second-hand items in great condition are sold for crazy low prices. 1. The city's primary mode of transport is cycling If you're not too fond of big cities packed with cars or the road-raging drivers that cruise the streets of Paris, then Copenhagen is definitely the place for you. Cycling is so popular they even have parking devoted to bikes, and you can't walk anywhere without seeing cyclist after cyclist leisurely roaming the streets. It makes it very easy to walk around the city too, as there are very few cars on the roads. Absolute bliss. 3. The Little Mermaid We all know The Little Mermaid from the iconic Disney movie, but the original mermaid resides by the seaside in Copenhagen. The bronze statue is on a rock at the Langelinie promenade, and is based on the Hans Christian An- dersen story about the legendary sea creature. 2. Copenhagen Zoo and Aquarium Everyone loves cute animals and underwater creatures, so Co- penhagen Zoo and Aquarium are a must if you're in the city. The zoo has a great Red Panda enclosure, polar bears, and a massive variety of monkeys - to name but a few. Then Den Bla Planet, Copenhagen's aquarium, contains some of the most ador- able sea creatures around – with a highlight being the outdoor pool for sea lions. 4. Tivoli Gardens Tivoli Gardens is Copenhagen's most spectacular sight - and convieniantly in the centre of the city, right next to the main train station. In the day, you can ride stomach-churning rides, sample local cuisine and see wild pea- cocks and cats roaming free. Then at night everything is lit up in stunning neon light, and there's a stage in the middle of the gardens where performers entertain you throughout the early hours. It was the theme park that inspired Disneyland, so it's an absolute must. 53 COPENHAGEN The Danish capital is packed with creative hotspots and plenty of typically 'untourist-y' sights
