FOOTBALL RECRUITING
had told me. Then I called them, and
we talked about it.
"They just said, 'We want to offer
you. You know you had a really good
day at the camp. We definitely will
get you back up to the campus.' They
like my style of play. How confident
I am and how I play the game. If you
see me play, you wouldn't think I
was only a 2017 guy."
PLAY IT OUT
The next step for Michigan's
coaches is to close the deal with those
players who have proven themselves
worthy of an offer not through repu-
tation, but hard work and a willing-
ness to put their talents on the line in
Ann Arbor.
Many of the campers who earned
offers — including Mack, Jordan and
of course the commit DeWeaver —
will be returning to Ann Arbor July
27 for Michigan's Barbecue at The
Big House recruiting event. Those
prospects will return to the scene at
which they earned their Michigan
offers. It's also where the Wolverines'
coaches hope to convince the young
men to commit to play their college
ball in Ann Arbor. ❑
