This beautiful coming of age movie demonstrates a strictly realis-
tic approach to the issue of growing up. It's the story of Mason and
his growth from childhood to adulthood, passing through various
ordinary life experiences and changes in his family life.The film is
however an extraordinary cinematic experience that in this case
doesn't involve 3D effects. It is simply amazing to watch a charac-
ter grow older along with his actor.The director, Richard Linklater,
and the cast which includes Patricia Arquette and Ethan Hawke
as Mason's parents and Ellar Coltrane as Mason perfectly narrate
and interpret the story. Mason goes to school, ends high school
and decides to become a photographer. His family life goes on
and changes along with him. It's such a moving and well realised
film that after watching you'll truly believe that you've witnessed
true events. Richard Linklater, after finishing the beautiful Before
Sunrise trilogy gives us another masterpiece that will no doubt be
remembered through cinema's history
