It is a surprising black beach where you can admire cliffs in the sea. Following a path nearby you can arrive to a vaste volcano's cave 1. Jökulsárlón Jökulsárlón is a large glacial lake on the edge of Vatnajökull National park. The glacial lake can be seen from national road Highway 1 be- tween Höfn and Skaftafell . During the night it appears as an aston- ishing procession of blue icebergs shining in the middle of water 3. Gulfoss Gulfoss is one of the most famous waterfall of the planet. It is locat- ed in southwest Iceland. The river Hvítá rushes southward and when one approaches it, at first sight it seems like the river is disappear- ing through earth. The river flows down curved into a crevice 32 metres deep. There are usually beautiful rainbows appearing in the afternoon. 2. Geyser Geyser is one of the most fas- cinating areas of Iceland. The place's name derives from a natural phenomenon that takes place there. A geyser is a dis- charge of water ejected tur- bulently and accompanied by a vapour phase. The Icelandic great Geysir which first erupted in the 14th century gave rise to the word geyser itself. It can hurl boiling water up to 70 metres in the air. Nowadays it is not erupt- ing regularly like the nearby Strokkur geyser which erupts every 5-8 minutes to a height of 30 meters. It's a spectacular natural event that you can't miss. 4.Vatnajökull Vatnajökull is the largest Icelan- dic Glacier. It is located in the south-east of the island and it covers more than 9 percent of the country. You see this astonishing scenario and you think it's unreal: a series of icebergs with blue re- flexes flow from the ice cap. All around there are seals swimming in the sea. 51 ICELAND When you think about Iceland you can't imagine a specific reason to visit it. Ice- land is so underrated, wrongly underrated I would add. It is such an amazing place with so much to see. These are five reasons why you should definitely decide to buy a plane ticket and start a trip around these wonderful places.
