Ha yes, it feels like time is flying.. sometimes i don't know what day it is, i only know we have to catch a plane, a train or an uber.. I have been great, i have been seeing the world, meeting the most incredible people, totally being inspired by the people and places we are surrounded by and i have been playing music, and making music.. i am appreciating every moment WHAT ARE THE BIG THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED IN THE LIFE OF MARC KINCHEN SINCE 2013? Every day my managers, friends, family call me up with some new piece of information that makes me wonder if i am dreaming, i spent a good part of my career locked in the studio and not being a part of this side of the music, so from hearing my records out, on the radio, seeing the world, meeting some of my idols and seeing "Always," a song i wrote and produced so long ago become a chart record is pretty big, working on a Mary J blige record by accident last week, pretty big, and seeing all this crazy press about me, doing an ep with Route 94 so many big things.... 2 records playlisted on Radio 1. YOU'RE PLAYING ON SUNDAY AT THIS YEAR'S SW4 THIS SUMMER, ARE YOU EXCITED? IS IT YOUR FIRST TIME PLAYING THERE? I am excited it will be incredible this year... have you seen the line up... it is amazing and it is my first time. IT'S FUNNY THAT YOU ONLY STARTED TAKING LIVE DJ'ING SERIOUSLY RELATIVELY RECENTLY OVER YOUR LONG AND SUCCESSFUL CAREER AS A PRODUCER, AND NOW YOU Miriam Johnson | guestlist.net With a career spanning nearly 2 decades, Marc Kinchen AKA MK has become something of a dance music icon. After pro- ducing classics like "Always" and "Burning" in the early 90s, he then went on hiatus from the scene to become one of pop's most respected and influential producers. After returning to the dance scene a couple of years ago, his schedule is now more packed than ever. With a string of festival and Ibiza dates lined up for the summer, we had just enough time to catch up with him ahead of his SW4 appearance. INTERVIEW MARC KINCHEN
