Pride In London is one long celebration of fun, feathers, and freedom. As well as an opportunity to fly the rainbow flag for the LGBT+ community, Pride also builds a calendar of entertainment for June. There's the Parade, of course, which is set to be a stunner and closes with a free concert at Trafalgar Square, featuring a fabulous line-up. There is also a good helping of club nights and after-parties happening around London for you to proudly strut your stuff. GHANA'S MUNTARI SPREADS KINDNESS IN BRAZIL Ghana player Sulley Muntari is making sure that the world cup should mean more than just rich stars on a football pitch. After be- ing granted permission by head coach Kwesi Appiah, Muntari headed out into the under privileged community in Maceio and gave cash from his own pockets to people in the streets, as well as signing autographs and bringing his encouraging presence to the Brazilian public. A member of the community commented: "I've lived in this poor community behind the Rei Pele Stadium for forty years but have never seen anything like this before. Not once has a soccer player come here. Brazil never gave me anything but Ghana did. I will support them up to the end." Eventually Muntari was asked by police to stop, but this act of kindness reveals the issue of bringing attention to the commu- nities that surround this worldwide event. It highlights the need for people to realise that the world cup should be something that unites all groups of people, instead of strengthening the divide between rich and poor in this time of celebration and national identity. New statistics show that completely renewable energy may in-fact be within reach. The 'Renewables 2014 Global Status Report' re- leaased earlier this month shows some optomistic re- sults for the world's energy. It appears that approimate- ly 22.1% of all electricity worldwide was generated from renewable sources in 2013. This is good news for the planet and presents a realistic prospect of renew- able energy. This percentage is expect- ed to rise in the coming years due to money being poured into country's re- search and development of renewable energy sources. GOOD NEWS FOR THE WORLD'S POWER! GOOD NEWS
