OUR PLAYLIST Faithfull & True Askala Selassie Home To Africa Joe Axumite Youths Must Rise Ricky Benz/Micho Dread Divers Beam up Here's the Reggae on our playlist this month: ALBUM OF THE MONTH COUNT ME IN - BY REBELUTION TRACK OF THE MONTH MAMA - BY THE GRINDERS Four member band Rebulution are back with a fourth album, Count Me In, released 10th June. Unlike their previous albums, their new instalment has a light and mellow tone, with tracks like 'Count Me In' that will make you feel like you're in the 1970's. They are one of the most successful reggae bands in the world. Mama, is the first single off The Grinders album Under Arrest. The track, featuring vocals from British reggae singer Tippa Irie, has a soft tone and distinctive percussion. The Brixton native dedicates the song to his mother. They are an emerging group of produc- ers from France. Tribal Seeds aren't your typical reggae band, with their in- fusion of reggae and rock. The independent group from San Diego formed almost a decade ago and have used their authentic sound to gain recognition throughout the US and worldwide. The six piece band's projects have not gone unnoticed. On the contrary, their debut album Tribal Seeds earned the 'Best World Music' prize at the San Diego Music Awards, while iTunes recognized Tribal Seeds and The Harvest as the best albums in the reggae genre, for their respective years. 2014 has undoubtedly been their best year though, as their fourth album Representing reached the top spot on the Billboard Reggae charts.
