EVENT REVIEW
CORNELL CAMPBELL & THE SOOTHSAYERS
Rarely do children enter the music scene, gain success and
maintain it for decades. Damien Marley has achieved that,
starting his career at thirteen as a member of the Sheph-
ards.
Damien's breakthrough came with his second album Half-
way Tree, where he earned a Grammy nomination for 'Best
Reggae Album'. His biggest achievement would follow with
Welcome to Jamrock, that finally earned him not one, but
two Grammy's, 'Best Reggae Album' and 'Best Urban/Al-
ternative Performance' for his sensational single 'Welcome
to Jamrock', which Rolling Stones included in its Top 100
Songs of the Decade list.
Reggae legend Cornell
Campbell will be joined by
London band Soothsay-
ers for an exclusive gig at
The Forge in North-West
London, on a night that will
surely be full of influential
beats. Bear in mind that this
will be their only UK club
event, therefore it's recom-
mendable that you pur-
chase tickets ASAP!
