rv-pro.com SEPTEMBER 2014 • RV PRO • 31 JAYCO Jayco may not be one of the "Big Two" manufacturers, but is planning to fill out its open house lineup with more than 100 units on display among its traditional family of brands. Add to that this year's acquisition of Open Range – now in the family under the Highland Ridge nameplate – and Jayco's display on the south side of Executive Parkway leading into the RV/MH Hall of Fame should be quite impressive. Jayco itself plans about 90 units, with Entegra Coach planning to showcase 16 motorhomes, and Starcraft adding more than 40, according to Ashley Lehman, Jayco's director of marketing. Jayco towables will feature several redesigns and new floorplans. Among toy haulers, the Seismic will feature upgrades in inte- rior décor and exterior graphics as well as other new features. e Seismic Wave, another new addition, also will be on display. Also, the Eagle fifth wheel lineup will feature all new exteriors with new graphics and color-matched Cream caps as well as new floorplans and other features. Jayco also will introduce the new Eagle HT3 lightweight fifth wheel series. e company also will display the Jay Feather SLX 8-foot-wide models. (Standard Jay Feather floorplans are 7 feet wide.) e new models feature a power awning, four stabilizer jacks, a 6-gallon DSI water heater, and an oven with a three-burner cooktop. Also on display will be the Jay Flight SLX 8-foot-wide models, which were introduced at Jayco's annual Dealer Homecoming. Highland Ridge will introduce five new floorplans in the Open Range fifth wheel lineup. The Jayco Seismic fifth wheel toy hauler will feature upgrades in interior décor and exterior graphics. Meanwhile, Jayco Motorized will feature four nameplates, each with new floorplans. e Jayco Redhawk 26XD and Jayco Seneca 37HJ feature new floorplans. e Jayco Precept gasoline Class A model will now have four floorplans available, and the Jayco Melbourne 29D returns with a floorplan featuring a queen bed in the rear, a spacious living area with a kitchen, and a cab- over TV and storage area. Jayco's display will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 16-18, and Jayco will serve lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each of those days at its display. Highland Ridge: Josh Streich, marketing coordinator for Highland Ridge, says the company's promotions this year will be some of the most aggressive ever. Highland Ridge will be introducing five new floorplans as the Open Range fifth wheel and Residential fifth wheel will be combined with the new 3X product, which was introduced last fall. Streich says the models will have thicker walls, taller/deeper slides and a richer, higher-end interior, all at a competitive price. e Roamer and Mesa Ridge products will get a new facelift with a new front cap. is is the first new cap for this product since its inception in 2007. All Highland Ridge interiors are getting a fresh look that will include wallboard, flooring and furniture. Additionally, Highland Ridge will offer an optional stainless-steel residential refrigerator (23 cubic feet) with water/ice dispenser in any floorplan that can accommodate a 12-cubic-foot RV refrigerator. Entegra Coach: Among the Entegra units on display at the Jayco's open house will be new floorplans for the Entegra Aspire 39E and Entegra Anthem 44F. Starcraft RV: Starcraft, which produces a variety of travel trailers and pop-ups, is getting back into the fifth wheel market and completing its full-towable lineup with two new models on display at Jayco's open house. e Travel Star fifth wheel will feature three floorplans with an optional Galaxy Black Pearl package upgrade. e Solstice fifth wheel will include three floorplans and the AR-One Maxx will have 8-foot-wide floorplans.
