They also provided services and products that covered all aspects of design, production and installation of their components to eventually include solutions for attaching them to mobile trailers. The result is that they have made mobile canopies lighter, stronger and easier to use. They are also safer. The fact they are printable makes them an excel- lent option for visual effect and branding outdoors. That presents more opportu- nities to consider for all of us—for our shops and for our customers. The trailer has always been an excel- lent place for branding with graphics. An added canopy or awning provides shade, protection from the weather and becomes an extension of the trailer. Put graphics on the canopy or awning and all of a sudden the creative juices start to flow that turn them into more unique and effective means of marketing displays that also influence how the space beneath them is used. Printing the graphics onto these structures has its challenges, especially since they take a beating from the sun and elements. That challenge became one of Larsens' most recent advance- ments as they incorporated UV-curable inkjet printing with its printed awnings and canopies using the VUTEk GS3250r UV printer made by EFI.
