Digital Signage Book Aimed at Traditional Sign Businesses A just-published e-book by author Justin Ryan is aimed at helping traditional sign businesses tap into the rapidly expanding electronic digital signage market. Digital Signage Power is designed with the tradi- tional sign business owner specifically in mind. Ryan, together with industry leaders and vi- sionaries, produced a book that makes it easier for traditional sign businesses to become a part of the digital signage industry, which is ex- pected to expand to a $15 billion dollar global market by 2020. Unlike other books on digital signage, Digital Signage Power is a one-stop learning resource that quickly educates its read- ers on the hardware, software, and the business benefits of the technology. Presto Tape Partners with Pioneer Supply Presto Tape, Bensalem, Pa., a manufacturer of wide-format print media, has partnered with Pittsburgh-based Pioneer Supply Company for distribution of Presto Tape's removable and repositionable print media for the sign industry. The com- pany offers three substrates with the same removable and repositionable adhesive. They offer a 17-mil canvas (CanvasTac), 7-mil polyester fabric (PrestoTex), and 6-mil and 10-mil papers (PaperTac). In addition to the adhesive-backed materials Presto Tape also offers non-adhesive materials for gallery wraps, banners and posters. All of the substrates are printable with UV, latex, solvent and eco-sol- vent inks. Solar Car Wrapped for Victory Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions, Mentor, Ohio, announces that the University of Michigan's Solar Car Team won its fourth victory in the 2014 American Solar Car Challenge with a car wrapped in Avery Dennison MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS and DOL 1360 overlaminate. The wrap film was installed on the specialized car, dubbed "Quantum", by Indianapolis-based TKO Graphix. The 2014 American Solar Challenge is an eight-day cross-country race that began on July 21 in Austin, Texas and fin- ished in St. Paul, Minn. on July 28. "We admire the University of Michigan Solar Car team in its quest for in- novation and its fourth consecutive win at the American Solar Challenge," says Don Nolan, president, Avery Dennison Materials Group. "Collaborating with University of Michigan students on a sustainable energy source like solar fits well with our pursuit to create more innovative and sustainable products."
