After all, wholesale work seems like a safe way to protect your investment and ensure it keeps making money. Wholesaling can be an effective way to grow your business and allow you to afford some of that cool, expensive iron you have always wanted. But, as a profes- sional, you need to make sure that you fully understand the industry segment you are trying to move into. My business, ER2 Image Group, has been wholesaling print for more than 15 years. We began selling to sign compa- nies just as digital printing became avail- able. I remember drooling over the very first generation of sign printers. Big Iron in the Old Days While those old machines only printed a few square feet an hour, they were still game changers. No longer did we have to cut, weed and tape 28 dif- ferent colored cut vinyl films to make a full-color display. And these printers produced photos too? Most importantly, almost nobody had them 15 years ago. I Window graphics at the Chicago History Museum are backlit at night.
