Among the an- nounced appointments, Robert Curtis, previously senior executive director of Roland DG, was promoted to the position of vice chairman, director. In his new posi- tion, Curtis is responsible for global mar- ket development as well as global talent development. David Goward was pro- moted to director from executive officer. He is responsible for Roland DG global sales, marketing and service. Goward joined Roland DGA in 1994 where he remains a director and CEO. Hidenori Fujioka was named director, responsible for R&D. Akira Hiruma was named an outside director, and Masayasu Suzuki was appointed as audit and supervisory board member from executive officer. Drytac, Richmond, Va., a manufacturer of adhesive-coated products, announces it has relocated its Canadian operation from Concord to Brampton, Ontario, effective June 23, 2014. e relocation results in warehouse space that is now adjacent to Drytac's manufacturing facility where two coating lines are operated. It also allows for the consolidation and expansion of Drytac's converting operations, which include sheeting. Having both facilities in close proximity to each other will ensure a seamless transition from production to distribution. Office space and meet- ing rooms with a state-of-the-art video conferencing system, and an application demo center are also features of the new building. Duane Laska, president and owner of North Shore Sign Co., Libertyville, Ill., has been named chairman of the board of directors of the Signage Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit, non- partisan organization dedicated to fulfill- ing the educational and research purpos- es of on-premise signage. e foundation is commied to expanding the knowledge base on the use and benefits of signage products through peer-reviewed research to facilitate the operation within the marketplace by manufacturers, suppliers, and individuals in their efforts to design, build, and sell innovative products. Laska has served in various leadership positions within the Signage Foundation includ- ing secretary-treasurer, chairman of the program commiee and chairman of the planning commiee for the annual National Signage Research & Education Conference (NSREC).
