We have some very sad news from one of our facilities. John Bieniewicz, a
USIndoor-certified referee at High Velocity Sports in Michigan, was punched
in the face when red carding a player, and he died because of the injury.
Our thoughts go out to John's friends and family.

Planning is underway for an event this fall called the "Jack-O-Smash
5000," which will be held at Sportsplex USA. The November event will
feature a 5K run, food, prizes, and more, including the smashing of
leftover pumpkins from Halloween. Proceeds from the first-time event are
designated for area groups that provide activities for special needs
children and adults.
We look forward to hearing how the event goes!
