  COMMITMENT PROFILE Michigan offered Darian Roseboro on May 1, and while it wasn't his first offer, the Wolverines were in on him early enough to grab his attention. By the time Roseboro committed to Michigan he was holding more than 30 scholarship offers from programs all over the country. North Carolina State, Alabama, Clemson, North Carolina and Ten- nessee ended up rounding out Rose- boro's top six, with the home-state Wolfpack challenging U-M the most. Roseboro committed to Michigan Aug. 29 in front of his high school classmates during a pep rally in the Lincolnton High School gymnasium. "For the next three or four years I will be attending the University of Michigan," he said proudly. That journey will begin in January, when Roseboro enrolls early at U-M. The No. 42 overall prospect in the country, the No. 6 defensive tackle nationally and the top player in North Carolina, Roseboro, is the highest- ranked member of an impressive 2015 class according to Rivals.com. Roseboro's head coach, Scott Clon- inger, thinks that he has what it takes to be a big-time player in college. "Michigan is getting a big, strong athlete. I feel like he's probably ready to play at the next level," the coach said. "I feel if he gets there early like he's planning on and fits in and learns the system, he can play early." Cloninger mentioned Roseboro's strength as one of his impressive at- tributes. Roseboro bench pressed 185 pounds 40 times at a Shrine Bowl Combine. Couple that brute strength with his 6-4, 283-pound frame and Roseboro could definitely play on the interior, but also has the athleticism to play defensive end, his preferred position. Cloninger thinks his star's versatility will allow the Michigan coaches to use him wherever he's most effective.
