Darrin Kirkland Jr.: Kirkland's Law- rence Central Bears dropped to 1-3, los- ing to Warren Central 41-22 on Sept. 12 … Kirkland missed the game due to a foot injury. Alex Malzone: Malzone led his War- riors to a win over Pickerington (Ohio) North 28-7 to remain undefeated on the year … Malzone went 20-of-36 passing for 338 yards and four touchdowns. Grant Newsome: Lawrenceville Prep's first official game is Sept. 20. Darian Roseboro: Lincolnton im- proved to 3-1, beating East Gaston 28- 14 in a home game that was started on Sept. 12, but due to severe weather was suspended and then completed Sept. 15 … Roseboro rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown and was a disruptive force on the defensive line, causing a fumble. Jon Runyan Jr.: The Hawks of St. Jo- seph's Prep are now 1-2 after losing to Cleveland St. Ignatius on Sept. 13, 42-34 … The Hawks failed to convert on fourth down six times and had 12 penalties for 100 yards. Garrett Taylor: Taylor will miss his se- nior season after suffering an ACL injury. Mike Weber: Cass Tech improved to 4-0 after throttling Southeastern 48-0 on Sept. 12 … Weber missed the game with an injury. Messiah DeWeaver (2016): Trot- wood-Madison remained unbeaten after defeating Sycamore, 33-30 … DeWeaver was 11-of-17 passing for 170 yards and three touchdowns … His final touch- down toss was the game-winner with just 40 seconds remaining … He also added 40 rushing yards and a touch- down on the ground. Erik Swenson (2016): The Mustangs of Downers Grove South are now 1-2 after losing 21-0 to Addison Trail … Swenson did his part, however, recording 28 con- firmed pancake blocks. ❑  FOOTBALL RECRUITING Quarterback Alex Malzone went 20-of- 36 passing for 338 yards and four touch- downs to lead Bloomfield Hills (Mich.)
