No.1
Notre Dame quarterback
Everett Golson: The Heis-
man contender was solid, not only com-
pleting 25-of-40 passes for 259 yards
and two touchdowns but also rushing
for a team-high 56 yards on 14 carries.
His 15-yard TD run just before half killed
Purdue's momentum.
No.2
Purdue corner-
back Anthony
Brown: Brown didn't
only make plays
downfield — he had
two pass break-
ups and generally
played tight cover-
age — but was rac-
ing around to make
plays inside, too.
Brown had 2.5 tackles for
loss that included 1.5 sacks.

N o t r e
D a m e
defensive end Romeo Ok-
wara: The junior end was
one of the game's most ac-
tive players, compiling a high
11 tackles to go with a half-
sack and a force fumble.
No.4
Purdue line-
backer Sean
Robinson: The senior captain was
pursuing, swarming and playing
downhill, just how the coaches want
their middle linebacker to be. It produced a career-
high 10 tackles, including two for loss.
No.5
Purdue receiver DeAngelo Yancey:
Though Yancey had only two catch-
es, both were big, both for Purdue and for the sopho-
more's confidence. His second-quarter touchdown
was big-league, and his route on a 29-yarder along the
left sideline was just as pretty as Etling's pass.
