So the coaches obliged, and Dale was with the receivers on Tuesday. "He feels more comfortable (on offense)," Hazell said. Dale was working with the third-team defense, mostly, but get- ting some snaps with the second team. Now, he's working with the scout team offense. Purdue has only Anthony Brown, Leroy Clark, Da'Wan Hunte and Brandon Roberts as returning cornerbacks on its roster now for 2015. Frankie Williams could move back to corner — he's been playing safety and nickel back through the first three games. Bye week event The Boilermakers' first bye week is Oct. 25, but fans still will have a chance to visit the south end zone patio that Saturday. Purdue will have "Boilermaker Octoberfest" from 5:30-9 p.m. with a polka band, food, drinks and an op- portunity to meet student-athletes. The event is free to John Purdue Club members and Purdue students. It's $10 for non-JPC mem- bers. To reserve a spot, call 765-494- 3248. a night with Joe tiller planned Former coach Joe Tiller will be making his annual trek back to Purdue for the Michigan State game and will be hosting a charity event, "A Night With Joe Tiller," on Friday, Oct. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. The location is still to be deter- mined, but the event will be part of Hammer Down Cancer Week and pro- ceeds will benefit the Purdue Center for Cancer Research. There will silent auction and Corn Hole Tournament as part of the festivities and admission fees will be $10 for students and $20 for all others. the next three Iowa, Sept. 27 The Hawkeyes were an 11-point favorite against arch-rival Iowa State but lost 20-17 when Cyclones kicker Cole Netten made a field goal with two seconds remaining. Iowa produced a mere 275 yards of offense and a season-low 146 yards through the air. Quarter- back Jake Rudock ran for a touch- down, and the Hawks grabbed a 14-3 going into halftime, but sur- rendered 17 of the game's final 20 points to drop their second straight to Iowa State at Kinnick Stadium.
