Special Services: Portneuf Medical Center Portneuf Medical Center will provide free screenings and information throughout the week at the Eastern Idaho State Fair. On specific days, free screenings, including blood pressure, body-fat, cholesterol and glucose will be available to the public at the Portneuf Medical Center booth. Low cost screenings will include prostate specific antigen and colorectal cancer screen- ings. Participants must be fasting for some screenings. Mammograms will also be avail- able on most days. The PMC booth is located on the north side of the tunnel next to the west arena and will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. Portneuf Medical Center clinical staff and educators will be on hand to provide educa- tion about cancer prevention, diabetes, heart health and hand washing. Service lines and clinics including the Heart and Vascular Center, Cancer Center, Mammography, Pocatello Cardiology, Portneuf Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center, Diabetes Education, Behavioral Health Services, Portneuf Lung and Sleep and Convenient Care will be at the booth throughout the week providing information 78 | E A ST E R N I DA HO STAT E FA I R GU I DE 2 0 11 about their services. Kids’ activities will also be available and will include “How Clean are Your Hands?” Balloons, giveaway items and educational materials about cholesterol, blood pressure and physical activity will also be handed out. Portneuf Medical Center’s schedule of events, screenings and educational opportunities throughout the week of the Eastern Idaho State Fair will be available at the PMC booth.
