64 • October 2014 • S I G N & D I G I T A L G R A P H I C S W hether you're a business owner or a drag-racing dare devil, you can be sure no one else will have a wrap quite like the one that's made for you at Kryptonite Kustomz. The shop, based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, specializes in concept, design, printing and installation of custom vehicle graphics and wraps. "We do it all in-house from conception to install. We do anything from very tame commercial vehicles to full blown crazy race cars," says owner Chris Davis. "I'm glad I pur- sued the racing industry because it's a very nice balance to the local commercial work; we don't do race cars exclusively, but we pretty much do half and half." Driving by the store, it's hard not to notice the green behemoths out front with coordinated designs that make an impression. The drag racing car, its hauler trailer and towing golf cart, all have duplicated wraps that are meant to make onlookers remember a brand. For drag racing leagues, it means drivers, crew members and everything associated with the team is making the statement that their sponsors want everyone to see. Wrapped for Racing Kryptonite Kustomz goes to the edge of insanity to produce one- of-a-kind wraps for race cars. B y J e N N y I v y B y R N e Jenny Ivy Byrne is a Denver-based freelance writer.
