Basically, the two most popular types of machines that are used in the sign industry are laser and rotary engravers. For shops new to the engraving busi- ness, some might be more familiar with laser engraving and not the latter. Rotary is where the engraving business began Bill Schiffner is a freelance writer/editor based in Holbrook, New York.
