GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 7 • 41 Bloomington at 7 p.m. Satur- day night. "We made some adjust- ments during the match and we'll make some more in the next day or two," Shondell said. "We'll make some slight adjustments with our defense and some with our of- fense and hopefully be a little further along than we were to start (Wednes- day) night." Overall, Shon- dell was pleased with Purdue's per- formance Wednes- day. Indiana en- tered the match 3-1 in Big Ten play with three-set wins over Maryland and Rut- gers and a five-set victory over Michi- gan, the same marks Purdue beat the Big Ten foes by. "Any time you beat Indiana and you're Purdue, it's a great win," Shondell said. "They're al- ways emotional matches and (Wednesday) I thought our kids found a pretty good zone to play in. I think they came in with the idea that if we played well at home, we'd win the match." Outside hitter performance carried Purdue to the sweep and its retention of the series' traveling trophy, the Monon Spike, for the seventh consecutive year. Epenesa, Annie Drews and Azariah Stahl each had at least nine kills and hit at a clip of .364 or higher. "I thought our outside hitters played with great courage," Shon - dell said. "They took a lot of big chops at the ball and had a lot of success." Indiana's outside hitters strug- gled mightily, as Amelia Anderson and Taylor Lebo hit .156 and .107, respectively.
