HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DJING AND PRODUCING AND HOW DID IT ALL START? I've been DJin for 16 years, having my own weekly show on London based pirate station 'Raw FM' aged 14.Learning the old skool way, on belt drive SoundLab turntables, grabbing and trying to mix any two vinyl I could! WHAT INSPIRES YOU IN EVERYDAY LIFE? I take inspiration from trying to understand the complexities of life. I like to pick apart and learn more about music, politics, art and fashion amongst other things. WHAT PROJECTS HAVE YOU GOT IN THE PIPELINE? Things are stepping up for me production wise, with a string of releases scheduled throughout and beyond 2015, including a remix for New York base duo Eskuche & Nu Sky. I've also started a London residency at the super cool Lightbox in Vauxhall which I'm looking forward to developing into a 'Live Show'. I'm fully booked in the UK up until February 2015 and have already secured international gigs at ADE 2014 & WMC Miami 2015. EVERYONE NEEDS SUPPORT IN THIS GAME, WHO HAS REALLY HAD YOUR BACK FROM THE START? Two people who I cannot thank enough, Mark Radford & Riaz Dhanani, both having helped me from the start of my professional career. Without these two I simply would not be where I am today! HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND? I have always taken pride in my ability to play multi genre, adapting my sound and playing all forms of underground house. If I had to box my sound into a descriptive it would be along the lines of 'Deep Tech House' WHAT OTHER ARTISTS DO YOU RESPECT IN THE SCENE AND WHY? I respect innovators, people who stretch the boundaries and bring different elements to performing as a DJ, people like Seth Troxler, Richie Hawtin, James Zabiela, Rodriguez Jr to name a few. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS? I hope to have a successful label up and running, with artists touring the world, playing our sound. That's always been my target! Although to still be a regular performing artist/DJ myself in 5 years would see me happy still. IIF YOU COULD INVENT A NEW GENRE OF MUSIC WHAT WOULD YOU CALL IT?
