Lithium Hypochlorite
Lithium is similar to Stabilised Chlorine but without the
stabiliser. It is a granular product and totally soluble. It can
be used in pools regularly or as a shock treatment.
It is generally more expensive than other chlorine types so
is more popular for use as a shock treatment.
About Chlorine for Spas and Hot Tubs
Never use any of the above chlorine products in a heated
spa or hot tub!
Heated water dissipates the chlorine very quickly and
worse it lets off gases which are dangerous to your health
if inhaled.
The recommended chlorination treatment for heated and
indoor spas and hot tubs (Jacuzzi) is Bromine.
