GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 8 • 35 Purdue also had quarterback commitment Elijah Sindelar back on campus for a return unofficial visit, along with dozens of under- classmen. A few notables among 2016 visitors were Memphis defensive lineman Michael Perry, who already holds an offer from Tennessee and many others, and Fort Wayne wide receiver/tight end Ben Skowronek, an in-state prospect very much on early Big Ten radar. NOTEBOOK S The men's basketball team hosted Indianapolis Tech point guard C.J. Walker for an unofficial visit on Friday, bringing the 2016 target to campus for the first time since offering him a scholarship last month. R Purdue running back com- mitment — at least for the time be- ing — Rob Ennis is no longer part of his Millville (N.J.) High School team as he faces aggravated as- sault charges after allegedly strik- ing a female in the face at a beauty pageant in September. "Rob Ennis is no longer on the football roster and will not be re- turning this season," Millville super- intendent David Gentile told the Daily Journal in Vineland, N.J. Purdue is expected to allow the legal process to run its course, at least to some extent, before deciding whether or not to with- draw his scholarship. Should Ennis be exonerated, it's conceivable he could remain part of the Boiler- makers' class, but anything short of that would almost certainly mean otherwise. Purdue coaches haven't com- mented publicly on the matter. R Long-standing Purdue of- fensive guard target Andrew Wood told Rivals.com that the Boilermak- ers are among the three schools he's focused on right now, joining Mississippi State and Navy. The three-star prospect and aspiring aerospace engineering major unofficially visited West La- fayette in June and said he plans to return for another unofficial for the Nov. 8 Wisconsin game, then an of- ficial visit following the season. R Offensive line commit Pey- ton Truitt, recruited originally to play either tackle or guard, said he now expects to play guard at Purdue. The West Lafayette High School lineman played his junior season around 255 pounds but is now right around 300. COMMITMENT TRACKER R Running back Markell Jones: The Columbus East running back with a typical week: He ran for 257 yards on 20 carries, with runs of 20, 51 and 52 yards among his six touchdowns in a 62-13 demoli- tion of Class 6A Jeffersonville. R Running back Richard Wor- ship: The Valley Forge High School back dominated again this week after coming back from a back in- jury, running for 277 yards and six touchdowns in a 40-27 win over Brush High School. R Running back Tario Full- er: Lanier High School (Ga.) beat Gainesville 26-23 with Fuller run- ning for 139 yards on 32 carries, in- cluding a six-yard touchdown. R Linebacker Markus Bailey: Hilliard (Ohio) Davidson beat Up- per Arlington 26-7, and Bailey re- corded nine tackles on defense and carried 24 times on offense for 107 yards. R Linebacker Sawyer Dawson: Plant City High School lost to Tam- pa Bay Tech 17-15, with Dawson making five tackles. R Safety Andy Chelf: Southlake (Texas) Carroll beat Richland 38-0. Chelf made 11 tackles, one for loss, and broke up three passes. R Linebacker Wyatt Cook: Mc- Donogh High School beat Calvert Hall 35-7, with Cook making eight tackles. R Cornerback Isaac Warren: John Tyler High School beat Lufkin 26-24, with Warren recording four tackles and a pass breakup. j Since returning from a minor back injury, commit Richard Worship has put up big numbers.
