Commitment Updates: Weekends of Oct. 10 & 17 Chris Clark: The Winged Beavers are now 4-1 after beating Hotchkiss 42-20 two week- ends ago … Clark was the main attraction, catching eight passes for 245 yards and four touchdowns in the win … Last week, Old Farms got another victory by defeating Taft 37-12. Brian Cole: The Hawks fell to Bay City Western 56-13 two weeks ago … Cole did not play in the game due to injury … Cole also missed last week's game and could only watch his team fell again, 28-20 to Davison. Andrew David: The Washington Tigers lost their second game in a row, falling to Ursuline 23-14 a couple of weeks ago … Da- vid went 0 of 1on field goals with his only at- tempt being blocked … Last week, though, the Tigers got back to their winning ways by defeating Garfield 38-0 … David went 1 of 1, nailing a 51-yarder and in doing so set the school record for field goals made in a career with 31. Tyree Kinnel: The Warriors are now 8-0 after blanking Fairmont 32-0 and then beat- ing Northmont 49-19 … Kinnel recorded three tackles and intercepted a pass in the win over Fairmont … Against Northmont, he notched five tackles and intercepted an- other pass, returning it 22 yards for a score. Darrin Kirkland Jr.: The Lawrence Cen- tral Bears suffered back-to-back losses over the last two weeks, 50-36 to Ben Davis High School and 27-20 to Carmel … Kirkland re- corded 15 tackles, four stops for loss, one sack, one pass broken up and a quarterback hurry against Ben Davis … Against Carmel, he racked up 17 tackles, including one for loss. Alex Malzone: The Warriors of Brother Rice remain undefeated, beating Detroit Country Day 42-21 and then notching a 38-14 win over University of Detroit Jesuit … Malzone went 17-of-22 passing for 232 yards against Country Day, but for the first time this season did not throw a touchdown pass … The following week, he connected on 19 of 30 throws for 172 yards with two scores, and also added 49 yards on nine rushing attempts. Grant Newsome: The Lawrenceville School defeated Mercersburg Academy 43- FOOTBALL RECRUITING Placekicker Andrew David, who plays for Massillon (Ohio) Washington, boomed a 51-yard field goal last week, the 31st made field goal of his high school career.
