Business Watch November 2014 Printwear PeoPle 12 | Printwear N ov e m b e r 20 1 4 Hirings, transfers, promotions Printwear PeoPle Printwear (Broomfield, Colo.) announces the promotion of Carly Hollman-Long to ex- ecutive editor and introduces Amanda McGrory-Dixon as managing editor. For the last three years, Hollman-Long has served as associate fashion editor at Prin- twear. Previously, she served as a junior account executive for international denim and lifestyle brand Diesel USA. McGrory-Dixon joins Printwear after previously working on the editorial staff for Sign & Digital Graphics and as a freelance writer for a variety of industries. Most recently, she served as sales manager for THE NBM SHOW. Johnson Plastics (Minneapolis) announces Mike Johnson as the new company president after previously serving as chief operating officer. He most recently led Johnson Plastics' expansion into the Northeast, where its first regional branch opened in Albany, New York, in October. Founder and former president Tom Johnson remains active and involved as chairman of the board, focusing on long-range planning and strategic direction for the company. Jonathan Rieth joins Wilflex (Kennesaw, Ga.) as the new applications development man- ager. With 20 years of industrial textile screen printing experience, Rieth is responsible for leading the company's Applications Development Center to help maximize the over- all impact with distributors, customers, and brands by adapting printing techniques to meet the needs of the global marketplace. Rieth also helps establish industry test methods and communicate print parameters on printing inks over a wide selection of fabrics and design types for competitive benchmarking. Hollman-Long Dixon M. Johnson T. Johnson Rieth Garced Thorndike Bozeman Hanchey Cragle Penn Emblem Co. (Phil- adelphia) introduces Eric Garced as the company's new graphic designer. Garced started with the company as a summer in- tern after graduating from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Design. With design experience as a freelance tattoo artist, Garced brings a new perspective to help expand Penn Emblem's branding image. SAGE (Addison, Texas) announces several manage- ment changes and promo- tions. Jarod Thorndike, for- merly director of distributor sales, is now the director of strategic relations. In this position, Thorndike han- dles all relationships with SAGE's largest clients, re- gional associations, and oth- er strategic partners. Blake Bozeman, formerly director of supplier sales, is the new director of sales, where he oversees both the supplier and distributor sales teams and manages SAGE's overall sales strategy. Following their promotions, Ryan Hanchey takes over as the distributor sales manager, and Teri Cragle is now the supplier sales manager. pw
