makers needed to mentally refocus
last week after a 39-38 loss at Min-
nesota. Even with the time off, it
still continues to haunt.
"Us losing by one point, I'm
upset about that," sophomore de-
fensive tackle Ra'Zahn Howard
said on Tuesday, 10 days after the
game. "So I've got
a little chip on my
shoulder going in
against (Nebraska)."
Maybe more
than just Howard will use that
game as fuel for a furious final four-
game finish.
"Going up to Minnesota, we
thought, 'Hey, if we win all five, we
can win the West still.' Obviously
that one hurts," senior tight end
Justin Sinz said. "But we still have
four games left and if we put it all
together, there's no reason why
this team can't compete and beat
all four teams on our schedule. We
certainly talk about it.
"On the flip side, you can't
win four in one game. So our fo
-
cus is 100 percent on Nebraska,
and I know it'll be a fun environ-
ment. I don't think hardly any of
us have been out there. So it'll be
a new experience but we're excited
and we're ready to get back and
playing. This week off was kind of
weird."

Purdue's ground game has been as efficient in
conference play as it has ever been in the recent
history of Boilermaker football. Dating to 1970,
Purdue has averaged more than 6.0 yards per carry
in a Big Ten game only 12 times. Ironically, while
the Minnesota game was the high-water mark for
average per attempt, it was also the only loss in the
span. Here's our list:
