Starting quarterback Drew Willy has thrown for nearly 3,800 yards and 14 touch- downs but also had 16 interceptions. YOU MUST STOP THE RUN Minnesota's 285 yards rushing marked the 36th time in the last 20 years that Purdue has allowed 250 or more yards in rushing in a game. Since the start of the 1994 season, that's a span of 250 games. Not sur- prisingly, the Boilermakers' record is just 3-30-3 in those circumstances. Here's how it breaks down by coach: Darrell Hazell 8-of-20 games (40 percent); Jim Colletto 11-of-33 (33 percent); Danny Hope 6-of-49 (12 per- cent); Joe Tiller 11-of-149 (7 percent). Keep in mind that the 20-year timeframe includes only Colletto's fi- nal three years. NFF PROMOTES MILITARY APPRECIATION WEEK The Joe Tiller Chapter of the National Football Foundation will be involved with two events during Military Appreciation Week, which culminates in the Boilermakers' Nov. 8 football game with Wisconsin. On Tuesday, Nov. 4 during a luncheon entitled "Community Makers: Duty Calls" at Bruno's Pizza & Big O's Sports Room in West Lafayette, former Boilermaker pitcher Josh Lindblom, now in the Oakland Athletics' or - ganization, will help pay tribute to military personnel like current Ivy Tech student Ryan West, who have been injured and are working hard to recover from their disabilities.
