The back nine gets confusing when
the fairway of 14 and 15 intersect
each other and No. 17 may be the
hardest because it finishes up on top
of the pitcher's mound.
The sales team sold a sponsorship
to a framing shop and an IT consulting
firm and implored fans to book their
tee times at $15 a person.
"We had originally thought we'd
use the whole field to do 18 holes, but
tee times were booked up so quickly
that I've had to divide the field and
make 36 holes," Tyler said.
Fans received a special scorecard
for The Links at Fifth Third Field, and
the top scores over the four days were
displayed on the stadium scoreboard.
Tyler said proceeds were donated
to charity, including the Boys and Girls
Club and the Susan G. Komen fund.
