• 13 Vernon Street, Winchester, 781-729- 0515, luciawinchester.com. $$ OREGANO PIZZERIA & RISTORANTE A brick oven imported from Genoa is one of Oregano Pizzeria & Ristorante's many enchantments. The thin-crusted gourmet pizzas are another. This seaside Italian treasure makes its home on the south bank of the Merrimack River at the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean, where regulars and new- comers alike bite into every kind of dough, sauce, and topping combination imaginable. • 16 Pleasant Street, Newburyport, 01950, 978-462-5013, oreganopizzeria.com. $$ MEXICAN/SOUTHWESTERN BESITO There's a fantastic new Mexican restaurant in town! Though located in the Burlington Mall, there is nothing about Besito to suggest anything other than an authentic hacienda experience. Replete with artifacts from Mexico, tableside guacamole preparation, and more than 75 tequilas on offer—Besito earns its ac- colades, thanks in great part to executive chef Carlos Arellano. • 75 Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington, 01803, 781-272-9900, besito- mexican.com. $$$ TAQUERIA LA VICTORIA Bevery residents were sad to see Cielito Lindo go, but Alex Barrientos, has another neighbor- hood gem with his taqueria on Wallis Street. Its festive, bistro-style interior is made warm with terracotta floor tiles, exposed-brick walls, rich wood trim, and large windows. Barrientos' burritos, tacos, quesadillas, tortas, and Mexi- can-spiced meats and veggies make it a great spot to either perch for an on-site bite or grab a bag to go. Yep, the place practically hums with the promise of becoming a local hot spot. • 6 Wallis Street, Beverly, 01915, 978-969-2228, victoriataqueria.com. $$ SEAFOOD IPSWICH CLAMBAKE Since 1976, Ipswich Clambake has provided top-notch freshly caught seafood served up in classic New England style. Known for superb menu options in their restaurant, catering divi- sion, and online seafood market, Tracey Carlson and Keith Woodman also received the honor of the 2013 Essex Chowderfest Festival Peo- ple's Choice first-place award for best Clam Chowder. Their seafood platters, homemade soups, sandwiches and salads, steamed clams, fish, and lobsters consistently earn applause. To create memorable dining experiences, the duo works with clients directly to plan clambakes, picnics, or BBQs in the backyard, at the beach, at a favorite location, or at one of their chosen venues. • 196 High Street Ipswich, MA 01938 978-356-7201, ipswichclambake.com. $$ JOE FISH Nautical is what Joe Fish does best. From its funky maritime interior to the creative pre- sentation of its seafood, the place is all about the fresh catch and the paraphernalia used to capture it (even the dinner rolls are served in tin buckets, furthering the extreme theme). Fried calamari, Chatham oysters, bayou catfish and grilled Gulf shrimp—these are just a few good reasons to live and dine on the North Shore. Joe Fish is another. • 1120 Osgood Street, North Andover, 01845, 978- 685-3663. 60 Main Street, North Reading, 01864, (978) 207-0357, joefish.net $$ fine italian cuisine Buono Bistro welcome to 220 Suttton Street, North Andover, MA Mon - Thurs 11am–9pm Fri & Sat 11am–11pm Sun 3pm–9pm 978.258.0658 www.buonobistro.com check out our new menu items book your holiday party now with up to 120 people Give a Gift, Get a Gift Restaurants.
