GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 10 • 38 FOOTBALL VISITS It should be a significant re- cruiting weekend for Purdue as it hosts Wisconsin Saturday. Texas defensive back Willie Sykes is officially visiting. "I've struck up a good relation- ship with Coach (Taver) Johnson and I just think it's a good school," said Sykes, a corner/safety prospect from Spring High School. "I've never been to Indiana. I'm pretty excited to see it and see Purdue's campus." Sykes, who said he's become friends with Boilermaker DB com- mits and fellow Texans Andy Chelf and Isaac Warren, is considering Purdue, Minnesota and Oregon State primarily. Purdue also hopes to host her- alded Michigan receiver/defensive back commitment Brian Cole, one of the top "athlete" recruits nation- ally. Cole, who's from the same Saginaw Heritage program that sent Stuart Schweigert to West La- fayette years ago, is committed to the Wolverines but making other visits. He's already been to Wiscon- sin and Nebraska is likely to host him as well. Purdue offensive line target Andrew Wood is expected to make an unofficial visit this weekend be- fore the Tennessee guard returns in the winter for an official visit. He's focused on Purdue, Navy and Mis- sissippi State. Purdue also may have in-state linemen Jacob Robinson (Indiana commitment) and Adam Solomon (Illinois) on campus for its meeting with the Badgers along with some high-end 2016 prospects. BASKETBALL VISITS Purdue hosts an official visit this weekend from Otsego, Mich., center Seth Dugan, a 7-footer who's not yet been offered a schol- arship but could be this weekend right before the start of the NCAA's early signing period, which opens Wednesday. Dugan has also been offered by Xavier and a host of mid-major programs, but has been recruited by the Boilermaker coaching staff for months, scouted several times and could be a very strong can - didate to join the Boilermakers' 2015 class. Purdue has commitments from shooting guard Ryan Cline and point guard Grant Weath- erford who'll be eligible to sign their letters-of-intent beginning Wednesday. Purdue is also expected to host an unofficial visit from 2016 Ken- tucky guard Eli Wright, who holds a Boilermaker offer, along with those from Indiana, Tennessee, Mississip- pi State and others. COMMITMENT TRACKER R Quarterback Elijah Sindelar: Caldwell County (Ky.) lost for the first time this season, 40-12 to Class A No. 1 Mayfield, with Sindelar add- ing two more touchdown passes to his Kentucky state record on a day when he and his team struggled.
