Barrett was outstanding for the Buckeyes, connecting on 16 of 26 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns while adding another 86 yards on the ground and two more scores … The Buckeyes churned out 568 yards of offense. PENN STATE (5-4, 2-4) After losing its last four games, Penn Sate found a way to win, beating Indiana 13-7 in Bloomington … Running back Bill Belton scored on a 92-yard run, setting a re- cord for Penn State, en route to a 137-yard, one-touchdown performance … The only scores in the second half were 27- and 28- yard field goals by Penn State's Sam Ficken … The Nittany Lions held star running back Tevin Coleman under 100 yards for the first time in 10 games on their way to victory. PURDUE (3-7, 1-5) Purdue took one on the chin, losing 34-16 to Wisconsin … The Boilermakers struggled offensively, to- taling just 230 yards with only 26 of them on the ground … Purdue's defense did force two turnovers by Wisconsin, but the Boiler- makers didn't translate the takeaways into touchdowns … One positive in the game was kicker Paul Griggs, who went 3-for-3, making field goals from 40, 52 and 53 yards.
