In this new position, Gao over- sees and manages SanMar's U.S. sourcing team. Gao brings more than two decades of experience to SanMar, most recently from Kohl's, where she served as a sourcing pro- duction manager for knits. Charles River Apparel (Sharon, Mass.) in- troduces new members to its sales team to handle accounts in Texas, Oklahoma, and western New York and Pennsylvania. Sha- ron Wohlleber is focusing her sales efforts in southern Texas and has previously owned and managed retail and wholesale businesses for more than 35 years in the U.K. and U.S. Scott Schaefer takes over as the western New York and western Pennsylvania rep and has worked in the industry for the past 17 years. Covering northern Texas and Oklahoma is Scott Blankenship, who has more than 18 years of experience selling apparel to the promotional products industry. Tony Kindelspire joins Printwear as well as its sister publi- cations, Awards & Engraving and Sign & Digital Graphics, in the position of online editor. Kindelspire has spent nearly three decades in the media, where he first worked in radio broadcasting. Most recently, he spent more than 13 years as business editor of the Longmont Times-Call in Colorado. Johnson Plastics names TJ Kvilhaug as account manager for the company's large-format sublimation business. In his new position, Kvilhaug focuses on management of current customers, new business acquisition, and technical support as well as new technology and products. He remains based in the Minneapolis headquarters. Vantage Apparel hires Jennifer Strauss as sales representa- tive for Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Puer- to Rico. Mike Newman also joins as sales representative for New England, including parts of New York and Con- necticut. Strauss comes to Vantage with a background in promotional sales and marketing and has won numerous awards and recognition for her experience in sales, strategic development, and customer relations. TAKES ON ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE PHILADELPHIA—Penn Emblem Co.'s CEO Steve O'Grady participates in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and invites his fellow Penn Emblem employees to join him. Through this challenge, the employees raised a total of $1,129, and Penn Emblem matched donations for a grand total of $2,258. This was all donated to the ALS Association.
