The Ricoh printers employ gel ink technology. The gel ink is said to be more resistant to drying out than water-based inks. This resistance means that the printheads are less prone to clogging. The gel ink also allows the printer to print transfer sheets at a maximum 29 pages per minute. Additionally, Ricoh printers are designed to do much of their own maintenance including cycling the printheads to help clear them even if the machine is not running every day. The printers have four cartridges, which produce a maximum resolution of 3,600 X 1,200 dpi. www.jdsindustries.com 800-843-8853 Embroidery package The Tajima TUMX Start Smart package, with the newly released DG15 software, from Hirsh International includes a machine, stand, hoops, cap system, and embroidery supplies, which includes thread, bobbins, needles, stabilizers, and more.
