GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 11 • 15 Cornerback 1. Anthony Brown 9 5-11, 192, Jr. 48 tackles, 5.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks, 9 PBU* Brown's been solid all season for the Boilermakers, and had eight more tackles against the Badgers, plus another pass broken up. He knocked down a second-down pass near the red zone, two plays before the Boilermakers held on fourth down. 2. Antoine Lewis 23 5-10, 185, Sr. (5) Strong Safety 1. Landon Feichter 44 6-0, 192, Sr. (5) 87 tackles, 1 TFL, 5 int., 2 PBU, 1 FR, 1 FF* Feichter had one of the greatest defensive games a player can turn in, with a dozen tackles, a forced and recovered fumble and an inter- ceptions, with another pass breakup. Plus, he made a red zone tackle on fourth down, forc- ing another in esseence another turnover. 2. Frankie Williams 24 5-9, 189, Jr. Free Safety 1. Taylor Richards 4 5-10, 196, Sr. 38 tackles, 1 TFL, 3 PBU* Richards had four tackles vs. Wisconsin, once having to chase down Gordon after a long run. Gregory played a few snaps, really the first significant ones of his career. He's moved up the depth chart as the season has gone on. 2. Robert Gregory 7 6-1, 216, So. Cornerback 1. Frankie Williams 24 5-9, 189, Jr. 60 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 sack, 3 int., 7 PBU, 1 FR* Purdue's moving Williams back to cornerback this week — he had played strong safety the first 10 weeks, after being a corner his first two years at Purdue — in an effort to get its four best defensive backs on the field together. Clark, who started last week, would come in during extra defensive back packages. 2. Leroy Clark 3 5-10, 187, So. Rush End 1. Jalani Phillips 89 6-4, 265, Sr. 27 tackles, 3.5 TFL, 1 sack, 1 PBU, 1 FR* Phillips had only a tackle, but his biggest play came in the passing game, when he knocked down a Joel Stave pass at the line of scrimmage, forcing a punt on Wisconsin's first possession. 2. Gelen Robinson 13 6-1, 239, Fr. Strongside Linebacker 1. Jimmy Herman 29 6-4, 230, So. 41 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 2 PBU* Herman had a solid day, with eight tackles, including one for a loss when he hit Stave on a QB scramble. Purdue's trio of starting linebackers is young, but playing well. Injuries, though, have sapped the depth. 2. Dezwan Polk-Campbell 6 6-3, 212, R-Fr. Middle Linebacker 1. Ja'Whaun Bentley 35 6-2, 250, Fr. 62 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 1 int., 1 PBU, 2 FR* Bentley has adjusted pretty well to playing with a broken hand, casted up to make him more comfortable. Against the Badgers, he had four tackles. He should be even more impactful in years to come. 2. Garrett Hudson 16 6-3, 230, R-Fr. Weakside Linebacker 1. Danny Ezechukwu 36 6-2, 246, R-Fr. 33 tackles, 2.0 TFL, 0.5 sacks, 1 FF* Coaches feel that Ezechukwu has been a pleasant surprise since entering the starting lineup after Sean Robinson's injury. He had a couple tackles against the Badgers. 2. Andy James Garcia 42 6-0, 217, So. Defensive End 1. Ryan Russell 99 6-5, 273, Sr. 34 tackles, 4 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 PBU* Russell missed the second half vs. Wisconsin after injuring a hip, further limiting what was a thin front. Panfil, who had shifted over to inside to add depth there, was back at his natural spot for the entire second half. He had three tackles, including one for loss, knocking down Melvin Gordon at the goal line to force a FG. 2. Evan Panfil 95 6-4, 251, So. Nose Tackle 1. Ra'Zahn Howard 14 6-3, 323, So. 17 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, 1 PBU* Howard missed the Wisconsin game with a sprained foot, giving Watson the start. And Watson had to play nearly the whole way against the Badgers, because of a lack of other interior options. He had a tackle, bringing Gordon down at the line on a first down. Howard is back healthy. 2. Ryan Watson 92 6-2, 291, Jr. Defensive Tackle 1. Jake Replogle 54 6-5, 269, So. 29 tackles, 7.5 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 PBU* Replogle continues to play well for the Boilermakers, with half of his three tackles going for loss against the Badgers. His third- down TFL, with Gelen Robinson, forced a punt late in the game. 2.
