GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 11 • 27 A fter back-to-back losses, including one in which the offense couldn't move the ball at Miami, questions arose about Kyle Orton's status as Buffalo's starting quarterback. But Coach Doug Marrone squashed that thought Monday. "Right now I'm sticking with Kyle. We'll go with who gives us the best chance to win," he said, per the Bills' official Twitter feed. Orton had his worst game as Buffalo's starter, throwing for 193 yards but on 39 attempts. The Bills' two consecutive losses have shuffled them to the outskirts of the AFC playoff picture. But Buffalo has other issues, as well. A massive winter storm dumped up to nine feet of snow on Ralph Wilson Stadium this week, leaving the Bills' game vs. the New York Jets on Sunday in some doubt. As of mid-week, the Bills were offering $10 an hour, plus free tickets to the game, for anyone interested in helping dig out the stadium. The Bills haven't been able to practice, doing workouts only and game-planning on tablets from home. They still had to submit an injury report, how - ever, on Wednesday, and Orton was on it. The quarterback has a toe injury but has had to treat it at home, rather than at the Buffalo facility. "The one thing about professional players is that they know how to take care of their bodies," Marrone said on a conference call Wednesday, according to Syracuse.com. "I really believe that we're doing ev- erything we can as a training staff, even from the weight coaches and what they're doing for the play- ers. We're doing everything from a proactive stand- point to make sure that we're giving our players all the information they need to be in their best shape when the (travel) ban is lifted." j Bills Stick With Orton Buffalo Bills Kyle Orton keeps his starting job with the Bills, but Buffalo is snow-covered, leaving some doubt as to when that next start will occur.
