GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 11 • 30 The only player who enters the week "questionable" is re- ceiver Dan Monteroso (knee), Hazell said. Though rotating right tackles J.J. Prince and Cameron Cermin also are significantly hampered, even with sitting for all three practices during the bye week and sharing snaps this week. "Those guys are beat up, but they're going to be available to us," Hazell said. "Cer - min has got a little bit of a groin (strain), and J.J. has two shoulders he's dealing with so hopefully between the two of those guys, we can get a full game out of them." It seems more and more likely that receiver B.J. Knauf's season is over. He still has yet to practice after having surgery to repair a collarbone injury, suf - fered against Michigan State on Oct. 11. Knauf has spent most of his time the last two weeks of prac- tice running on the sidelines with sports performance coach Duane Carlisle. A NEW MIX Purdue will have a new start- ing secondary against Northwest- ern, assuming Williams has no set- backs during practice this week. Williams has been practicing at cornerback the last two weeks after spending previous weeks this season as a safety. Williams spent his first two seasons at Purdue as a corner but was moved to safety in training camp with Taylor Richards out while serving a suspension. Playing Williams at corner frees up Purdue to play Landon Fe - ichter at one safety spot alongside Richards. Feichter had been benched in favor of Richards for the Minnesota and Nebraska games but started last week again with Williams out. Feichter is coming off the best two- game stretch of his career with 18 tackles and three interceptions — and that's playing the strong safety spot. He's been a free safety during his career. It'll be interesting to see how much Purdue plays in its five-de- fensive back packages against the Wildcats, who run a spread offense Tom Campbell Paul Griggs became the first kicker in Purdue history with two 50-plus-yard field goals in a game, doing so against Wisconsin. That helped him earn a weekly Big Ten honor.
