"They said I could play pretty much anything," Faison said. "Right now I play defensive end and last year I played outside linebacker. They have film of me playing both positions and said they think I could play anything. "They told me they like the way I chase the ball and they said they love the way I run down the field on kickoff. Just from watching my film they think I have a real motor and a knack for getting to the ball." The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder chose Purdue over Miami (Ohio) and a host of other smaller-school offers. The Boilermaker coaching staff, he said, recruited him all year, making their offer official this week after a review of his academic standing. Faison unofficially visited Purdue in the summer. "I loved the environment when I went there and I loved the coaching staff," Faison said. "They treated me like family and I just felt like it was right for me, like I could really see myself playing there. I knew if I went there I could get better as a player and as an individual." There are some moving parts to Purdue's commitment total — running back Robert En - Florida linebacker/defensive end Tim Faison committed to Purdue Wednesday.
