at Michigan. Outside of Knuble, goaltender Marty Turco and forward Brendan Morri- son, while not in prime Michigan draft classes, have been two of the most prolific U-M draftees. Chosen in 1994 by the Dallas Stars in the fifth round, Turco hit the NHL with the Stars in 2000 and spent nine seasons starring in goal in Dallas. The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, native was selected as a second-team All-Star in 2002. Morrison's NHL career started when he entered the NHL in 1997 with the team who originally drafted him, the New Jersey Devils. Traded to the Vancouver Canucks in 2000, Morrison posted four 20-goal seasons in Van- couver. In the present day NHL, Michigan draft grads Mike Cammalleri and Max Pacioretty are making the most accomplished of all the former Wolverines currently in the NHL. A second-round choice of the Los Angeles Kings in 2001, Cammalleri cur- rently skates with the New Jersey Devils. He had 11 goals in the Devils' first 21 games despite being sidelined for a couple of weeks due to injury. Pacioretty, a first-round selection of the Montreal Canadiens in 2007, scored 39 goals for the Habs last season and already found the back of the net 12 times in 29 games this year for Montreal. Two current or future Wolverines are ranked by International Scouting Services (ISS) as top-12 choices for next June's annual selection of prospect talent in the draft. Defenseman Zach Werenski, who joined Michigan as a freshman this Sep- tember, is ranked No. 5 overall by ISS. Forward Kyle Connor, who will join Michigan next fall in the freshman class of 2015, is currently forecast by ISS to go No. 11 in next June's draft. — Bob Miller Current U-M Players Chosen In The NHL Draft Name Pos.
