T he ACC/Big Ten Challenge might as well have been called the ACC Invitational for the first decade. The conference captured the first 10 in the series from 1999-2008, and many won- dered if it shouldn't be discontinued. Since then, however, the Big Ten has ripped off a six-year unbeaten streak of its own. It captured three in a row from 2009-11, tied in 2012-13 and won 8-6 this year. Michigan did its part this season with a 68-65 win over Syracuse Dec. 2.
