where redshirt Jabrill Peppers ends up. Peppers, coming off an injury, could play corner, safety, nickel or all of the above. Sophomore Jourdan Lewis, mean- while, was U-M's best cover corner last year and will likely man one of the two positions. He led the team with two interceptions and six pass breakups. Sophomore Channing Stribling will also play more in 2015 after playing sparingly this year. The safeties still have plenty to prove. Junior Jarrod Wilson will be the captain of the secondary after notching 50 tackles and two pass breakups last year, but he has more to give. Sophomore Dymonte Thomas has all the potential in the world but managed only 27 tackles and no pass breakups, oft-injured sophomore Delano Hill was inconsistent in his seven games and redshirt sophomore Jeremy Clark (18 tackles, one PBU) even more so. Best Bets: Lewis and Peppers at the corners, Countess at nickel and Wilson and Hill as the safeties. The Wolverines will need to upgrade the secondary in recruiting. Special Teams Kicker Matt Wile leaves after boot- ing 15 field goals this year, and he'll likely be replaced by a true freshman in Andrew David. Fifth-year senior punter Will Hagerup's job likely goes to sophomore Kenny Allen, who could also kick if necessary. ❏ Blake Countess recorded 24 tackles and three pass breakups in 2014, and he could play cor- nerback or nickel back next year, in what will be his final season at Michigan.
