15 Issue 70 / 2014 HOUSE/ TECHNO guestlist.net You've been to the UK what 8 times this year... How do you feel about London ? I love to play in London. Firstly because of the freedom with the music; it's an eclectic city and lots of my best friends live here. Also I love London for the great clubs and warehouses and the party monster culture in England! You love raving! We had a good time at the Found Festival - Ceremony this year, what did you think of that party? It was a cool project with really nice line up. It would've been great to see Lil Louis as well. I really enjoyed my set. It is great to be able to play with the freedom I get when I play here; I can play what I want and the crowd will always be feeling it! You have some big nights coming up. What are you most looking forward to? Well I'm looking forward to every single set actually. I'm an addict! ADE With Jazzy Jeff .. How do you prepare to play with one of hip hop's legends? I was a lil stressed! Hahaha! But I did my thing playing disco house, nu disco and disco Tell us about the trip hop stuff you've got coming... I'm doing a new album with trip hop hip hop , down tempo, jungle... All the music I always dig and have no chance to produce or more to take time to produce. Did you take that vibe to ADE? Nope only disco house , nu disco and disco as every place have his concept . I hear you have officially moved over to vinyl only, tell us a bit about that transition... Well not totally vinyl as it's really difficult in every club and also difficult to play my new unreleased shit but I stopped playing with tractor to go back to vinyl and cd's! Vinyl is still the best for me, it's a pity that many clubs don't take care of their equipment anymore. You always seem to craft your set as a journey for the crowd....Where do you want to take them? To paradise. How is the vibe playing with the likes of Carl Cox... It s always a pleasure to see him play and in a party like Circoloco he's always doing a super set. He's one of the DJs back in the day who inspired me and pushed me to become DJ. Your tune 'Shape U' was popping off in ibiza last year, which track sums up the vibe of the island for you this year? When you feel me What would be your go to track to play for a beach at sunrise? When you feel me We all have strong memories of our first favourite clubs, tell me a little about 'l'enfer', and Laurent Garnier's parties there... Just the best music, best girls, sweaty and hot. You always felt like you were at home and there was so much happiness, love and sex in the club. Can we expect a brother DJ duo to emerge any time soon? We would love to see that! Sure! It's on the way If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be? The list is long! If you could play anywhere, where would you play? A club underwater or on the moon. The most inspiring place you can imagine! Where are you having the most fun right now? DC10 Do you prefer playing or producing? Both! For different reasons. I couldn't choose, One random question – if you were an ice cream, what flavour would you be? Strawberry. Catch DJ W!ld at DC10 New Years Day.
