Research and Education Committee Committee mission: Provide input on basic research funding for industry identi- fied priorities including disease manage- ment, variety improvement and develop- ment, pest resistance, integrated pest management, input management, etc. These committees provide a forum for discussion and idea exchange, and they offer a unique venue for developing leadership within the industry. Many com- mittee members go on to serve on national organizations such as the United States Potato Board and the National Potato Council. I encourage Idaho industry members interested in participating on these committees to contact my office at (208) 334-2350 or Travis Blacker at (208) 514-4236. The entire IPC staff is always available to answer questions and/or provide information concerning our programs to support Idaho potatoes. PG Invest in Quality ® ©2015 Kuhn Krause, Inc. Abby Sackett, of Sackett Potatoes in Michigan knows first-hand the benefits of having an off-site farm management system. When their offices burned to the ground last winter, they never missed a beat with day-to- day operations. Clients and trading partners continued to receive their updated orders and shipment notices via Grower Logistics online system and services.
