ALL UNLIMITED TROPHY TRUCK CHASSIS BEGIN WITH A CAD DESIGN. THIS ONE FROM ARMADA ENGINEERING SHOWS THE COMPLETED CHASSIS, INNER BODY PANELS, SUSPENSION AND ENGINE TO PROPER SCALE. TROPHY TRUCK BUILDERS LIKE ARMADA ENGINEERING USE PRECISION HIGH-QUALITY WELDS AND CNC LASER CUT STEEL TO CREATE A TT SPEC CHASSIS. A COMPLETED WELDED ARMADA ENGINEERING CHASSIS IS A WORK OF ART IN ITSELF. BUT IT'S ALSO ENGINEERED TO BE STRONG AND PROVIDE SAFETY FOR THE PASSENGERS. TT Spec vehicles use 37-inch race tires on 17-inch wheels while a majority of Unlimited Trophy Trucks use 39-inch tires on 17-inch wheels. The fiberglass or carbon fiber OEM production body panels look the same. Although the use of a Turbo 400 transmission is required in TT Spec class, many Unlimited Trophy Truck teams use the same thing even though they are not restricted to using a Turbo 400 only. The suspension travel is generally the same 26-inches of wheel travel on the front A-arms, and 30+ inches of wheel travel on the rear four- link, trailing arm suspension. TT Spec Engine Restrictions The major difference in the Trophy Truck Spec versus Unlimited Trophy Truck is sitting in the engine bay. The TT Spec is limited to a stock, factory engine from 2008 or newer model years. There is a maximum engine size of 376 cubic-inches (or 6.2-Liters). The factory engine control unit (ECU) must be used. No modifications to the crate engine is permitted. That means no porting or polishing, balancing or blueprinting…nothing. 075 SCORE JOURNAL
