WANTED: 2015 Regional Training Program Hosts Each year, STAR holds its CIT and CRA courses around the country between June and October. We are currently looking for STAR facility members to host courses in 2015. Calling All Certified Ice Technicians Individuals who have been awarded the Certified Ice Technician (CIT) professional designation by STAR are required to recertify every five years from the year their CIT was originally achieved. In addition, individuals must also maintain an annual STAR individual membership to keep their CIT professional designation valid. Individuals who were awarded their CIT in the years 2003–2010, and have not already successfully completed the CIT recertification course, or passed the CIT recertification exam within the last five years, will be required to recertify in 2015. There will be two ways for individuals to recertify their CIT professional designation in 2015: 1. Attend and successfully complete the CIT review workshop and recertification exam at the North American Rink Conference & Expo, May 18–21, 2015, in Columbus, Ohio. 2. Successfully complete the CIT Recertification Exam, which will be offered at STAR Regional Training Program locations in summer of 2015.
