Ashley Morrissette 1
G • 5-9 • So.
Morrissette was forced
into the point guard role
midway through the
Northwestern game, due
to April Wilson's concus-
sion. It's not the best posi-
tion for the sophomore
guard, but Purdue has
little choice. And Morris-
sette's been OK, although
turnovers are an issue. The natural off-guard
had seven against Rutgers' swarming pres-
sure defense, one of the reasons why the
Boilermakers struggled to get scoring op-
tions in the second half.
Hayden Hamby 10
G • 5-7 • Jr.
With Wilson out, Hamby
slipped into the starting
lineup against Rutgers.
Her ball-handling helped,
as she had only two turn-
overs in 35 minutes. But
Purdue needs the junior
to score, something she's
struggled to do all season.
She's best when she can
dash through the lane for short jumpers,
but her size doesn't allow that to develop
often. And she's not a prolific three-point
shooter. She hit 2-of-6 shots vs. Rutgers, for
five points.
Bridget Perry 13
F • 6-2 • So.
Perry's been outstand-
ing since returning to
the lineup after missing
a month with an ankle
injury, twice leading the
Boilermakers in scoring
the last two games. She's
aggressive on offense,
which not only allows her
to score for herself but
facilitates the offense for others. She's de-
veloping into a reliable scorer, perhaps one
of the few positives the Boilermakers have
found recently. Perry's rebounding, too, with
double figures against Northwestern and
four vs. Rutgers.
Liza Clemons 23
F • 6-2 • Sr.
Clemons has given the
Boilermakers consistency
during the second half
of the Big Ten season,
routinely coming up with
near double-doubles. Or
in the case of Northwest-
ern, a double-double.
She's had to play big min-
utes because the Boiler-
makers have a lack of depth, particularly in
the front court now that Torrie Thornton is
sidelined.
Whitney Bays 32
F • 6-2 • Sr. (5)
Bays is struggling a bit
offensively in the last few
games, making only 1-of-
9 shots in the loss at Rut-
gers. For Purdue to win,
it needs a lot of things to
happen, including offen-
sive production from Bays.
But she's struggled in
finding the balance be-
tween creating opportunities for herself and
working within the flow of the offense. Even
in the offensive woes, she's still rebounding,
pulling down double figures in both games
last week. Against Northwestern, she had a
double-double, her Purdue-record 14th of
the season.

Starters
Bree Horrocks 22
C • 6-5 • Fr.
Horrocks has gotten a
few more minutes lately
and was productive
against Northwestern.
Her bucket just before
halftime vs. the Wildcats
gave the Boilermakers
a needed boost. She's
starting to take a few
more jumpers, but isn't
yet hitting them. She looks capable, how-
ever, and probably just needs one or two
to fall for some confidence.
Andreona Keys 24
5-10 • G • Fr.
Keys is trying to push
through a little bit of
a freshman wall. The
rookie has played a lot
in Year 1, being a starter
when Perry was out.
She could return to the
lineup again, depending
on the status of Wilson.
But against Rutgers, she
had five points off the bench in 20 minutes
in only three shots. If anything, she could
stand to be more aggressive at times.
The Shelf
Torrie Thornton 4
F • 6-0 • Jr.
Thornton is out until the
Big Ten Tournament, at
the earliest, with a foot
injury. The Boilermakers
are missing her energy,
defense and rebounding
off the bench.
April Wilson 25
G • 5-7 • Jr.
Wilson took a hit during
the Northwestern game
and had to go to the
locker room. She didn't
make the trip to Rutgers
two days later, and
there's some question
as to when the point
guard will be available
to return.
