He's now just months away from putting on that winged helmet and trying to take the next step to get on the field. His high school coach believes Perry's dream is just beginning. "I don't think anyone ever out- worked Grant in my 15 years of being at Brother Rice," Sofran said. "He's an extremely hard worker and does what he needs to do to be prepared physically. He's just a hungry kid that is going to work for everything which is better than the All-American, five- star who thinks everything should be handed to him. He's going to do everything he can to get on the field and show people that he belongs." Perry himself knows that going from Brother Rice to Michigan is not going to be easy, but he's doing ev- erything in his power to be prepared. "Going into college is going to be a huge transition and I'm aware of that," he said. "Balancing school and athletics is going to be a lot of work.
