WHERE ARE THEY NOW? In nine seasons with the Canucks, from 2000-08 (though he played just 12 games with Vancouver in 2000 and 39 in 2008), Morrison recorded 50 points or more six times, totaling a career- high 71 points on 25 goals and 46 as- sists in the 2002-03 campaign. Unfortunately, a spate of injuries, including a pair of ACL tears, would severely limit Morrison in his final four NHL seasons. Still, he finished a 934- game pro career with 200 goals and 401 assists. "I had a stretch where I played eight years in a row and didn't miss a game, and then I had a stretch of five years where I had surgery every year, some- times twice," he said. "But I'm not bit- ter. The game of hockey has been abso- lutely phenomenal for me. "You think back to when you were a kid, and you think, 'If I could just play one game in the NHL, that would be the ultimate. My life would be com- plete.' To live my dreams for 15 years, it doesn't get any better than that." Now, he occupies his time with three considerable ventures — one-third of a partnership for a matting company that protects the ground/environment from oil-drilling machines; co-hosting a fishing show; and commercial real estate. Living in Calgary, he spends his greatest chunk of each day, though, with his family. "With the work schedule I keep now, flexibility was critical, because my joy comes from being able to spend a lot more time with my family," Morrison said. "I had a great hockey experience, and after hockey, I am truly fortunate to have the life I have now." ❏ 1-800-421-7751 • www.TheWolverineOnDemand.com Michigan Wall Clock This Michigan football-theme clock features a high-quality quartz movement that has been tested for accuracy, so you'll never have to worry about being late to the stadium! • Turf-accented rim • Vivid "Block M" logo and graphics • Accurate quartz movement • Requires one AA battery (not included) • Measures approximately 10.5" in diameter • Made of durable plastic • Officially licensed collegiate product • Printed in the U.S.A. $15 00 plus $7.50 S&H Tax (NC 7.5%, IN 7%, MI 6%) Item #1404 SALE!
