2015 RECRUITING ISSUE PERSONAL Brian Keith Cole II was born April 3, 1997, in Muskegon, Mich. … Will be the first person in his family to attend the University of Michigan … Father, Brian, played football at Northern Michigan University … Never took an official visit to Michigan, but as an early enrollee he hosted U-M signee Tyree Kinnel Jan. 16 … Was coached and trained by Heritage alumnus Stu- art Schweigert, who played at Purdue (2000-03) and in the NFL for five sea- sons. RANKINGS Average rating of the four major re- cruiting services: four-star recruit, the No. 99 overall player nationally, the No. 7 athlete in the land and the No. 2 player in the Great Lakes State. STATISTICS Career Totals: Competed on the var- sity team in all four seasons, rushing 235 times for 2,004 yards (8.5 yards per carry) and 24 touchdowns … Caught 24 balls for 507 yards (21.1-yard aver- age) and six scores … Completed 2 of 16 passes for 94 yards with two touch- downs and one interception … Had 16 tackles and five picks defensively, with a lone fumble recovery. Junior Season: Appeared in eight games for a Hawks team that went 5-4 overall, missing the final game of the season after breaking a bone in his leg … Gained 1,200 yards rushing and scored 16 touchdowns on 140 car- ries (8.6-yard average) … Caught five passes for 78 yards … Completed 1 of 4 passing attempts for 80 yards with a touchdown and an interception … Recorded four picks and 10 tackles … Named Division 1-2 first-team all-state as a defensive back. Sophomore Season: Played in seven games for a Heritage team that went 4-5 … Carried the ball 64 times for 489 yards (7.6 yards per rush) and two scores … Tallied 15 receptions for 308 yards and four touchdowns … Connected on 1 of 11 throws for 14 yards with a TD.
